A teacher is not always in a classroom but will have a huge influence on a young people’s journey.  Jez has been nominated for his many years of putting the young people of our community first.  Currently based at South Cumbria Pupil Referral Unit, Jez works with students who are at risk of exclusion from the education system.  Over the years he has developed many programmes, outside of his job, focused on helping young people get advice, support and activities.  Most recently, he facilitated a knife crime awareness project throughout the local schools in the area.
