A festival brings a community together, some festivals send visitors away with something magical. Booktastic Barrow has been nominated for voluntarily organising a book festival for primary school children of the area.  In 2025, the first Booktastic Barrow brought 1,700 pupils from ages 4-11 to Barrow Town Hall to see 4 amazing authors, illustrators and poets, meet them and receive a signed book from the author. The team organises the event in their own time, to inspire a love of reading.
