A welcoming face and open arms enrich communities.  Furness Refugee Support group has been nominated for offering much needed support for refugees, settled families and asylum seekers. As volunteers they provide help that goes beyond statutory services for people who have fled war torn countries, and everything they know. The group connects people, encourages familiarisation with the local area and provides direct aid with everyday tasks.A welcoming face and open arms enrich communities.
