A teacher is a key part of a community. Steven has been nominated for his work as the headteacher at St George’s C of E Primary and Nursery School and his voluntary work outside of his role.  As well as the responsibilities of a headteacher, looking out for the school, staff, parents and pupils, Steven is also a local councillor representing his community, and is chairman of the Bluebirds Trust.  He is passionate about giving the children in the central area of Barrow the chance to play sports, even providing transport to those who might not be able to reach the venue.
